Starting with a low-energy, long-term sustainable perspective, this project set out to create attractive housing on one of the best sites in Jönköping.
The apartments are organised around a large vertical illuminated stairwell. With the majority of the apartments located in the corners, they benefit from good natural light and views.
An outer layer of balconies provide all apartments with outdoor spaces. By shifting the balconies every second storey, double-height spaces are created. A screen of wooden trellis diffuses the light and creates a buffer zone between inside and outside.
