New buildings for the University of Gothenburg

Tham & Videgårds proposal is recommended by the jury to go ahead! The scheme creates a new assembly of buildings to bring together the entire Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts: the Valand Academy, the HDK-School of Design and Crafts, and the HSM-Academy of Music and Drama. The site is next to one of Gothenburgs most central places, Götaplatsen, and will through its strategic urban location further strengthen the capacity of the art faculties to interact with current events in society and within the city.

Kasper Salin Prize and Private house Award 2015!

KTH New School of Architecture wins the Kasper Salin Prize 2015, The Swedish Association of Architects’ award for best architecture in Sweden. Tham & Videgård also won the Private house Award with the Creek house in Skåne. The prize ceremony was held on 19 November at The Swedish Association of Architects annual Architecture Gala at the Stockholm City Hall.

Kasper Salin Prize nomination

KTH new School of Architecture is one of four shortlisted projects for the Kasper Salin Prize 2015, awarded by the Swedish Association of Architects to the Best New Architecture of the year. The award will be presented at the Architecture Gala on November 19th.

Helsinki Housing competition (FI)

Tham & Videgård has been selected after a prequalification to participate in an international competition in Helsinki, Finland. The theme for the competition is ‘Responsible Housing Design’ where the aim is to develop innovative housing solutions focusing on environmental, economical, technical, social and cultural aspects.
The competition is organised by SATO corporation in collaboration with the City of Helsinki.

Bauhaus Museum, Berlin

Tham & Videgård is invited by The Senate Department of Urban Development and the Environment (Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Umwelt) to participate in the architectural design competition for the new building of the Bauhaus Archive / Museum für Gestaltung in Berlin’s city centre. The new museum is meant to open in 2019 marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of Bauhaus. Read More »
